I tried using a 12 week program recommended by the body building website. I was lifting and doing cardio almost everyday but my results weren't as good as I hoped. I WAS WORKING OUT FOR AN HOUR AND HALF EVERY DAY! I was lifting for a half hour THEN doing LOTS of cardio. The lack of results was discouraging. </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><u>I wasn't eating properly</u></span><span style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> and I was getting comfortable with my workout routines. I had no one to push me. I needed something new, a better challenge that was PROVEN to work.</span><br />

I know nutrition played a *HUGE* role in that! I've never had so much energy AND I could tell that my metabolism skyrocketed! I was finally giving my body the nutrients it needed, when it was needed, and eating the correct portion sizes/combinations so that the food re-fueled my muscles and kept my energy levels consistent which also helped with mental clarity! I was NOT STARVING myself (ruins your metabolism). Instead, I was increasing my metabolism by EATING MORE! Wow that sounds bad!<br />Ever reach for seconds? .. maybe thirds?<br /><br />Well, sources are CORRECT. Nuts are healthy and a great source of protein and healthy fat BUT they are VERY calorie dense. So most people will over eat this item because it doesn't fill you up as much as other food items.<br /><br />Nuts are a great portable snack. Depending on how much healthy fats you need in your diet on a daily basis, they could be a good option for you.<br /><br />Remember, healthy fats are necessary to promote healthy hormones and brain processes. Do another activity instead of eating during these times for 3 days.<br /><br />-Some people call themselves ugly or don't believe in themselves. Tell yourself you are incredible, unstoppable, and capable of anything for 3 days whenever you find yourself saying negative things.<br /><br />-Some people put others down. Instead, compliment the person based off their STRENGTHS. Ignore their flaws and realize that you have flaws too and wouldn't like others pointing them out to you. It's ALL water weight!<br /><br />So many people get caught up on the scale and get depressed or frustrated when it doesn't budge. SO what! There are SO many factors that go into "weight."<br /><br />In order to tell if you've been making progress, you want to track other things like: non scale victories, increases in strength/endurance, lower percents of body fat, faster metabolism, AND THE WAY YOU LOOK!<br /><br />Take progress pictures EVERY week. Same day of the week, same time in the morning, after the SAME routine -- every time! That's how you can truly see how far you've come OR if you've hit a plateau and need to adjust.<br /><br />Progress pics don't have to be a complicated thing. Set up a camera in the same spot, pose the same way, take the picture, store it on your phone, then do it again a week later and compare! Easy!<br /><br />I absolutely LOVE helping others by educating them about fitness, health, and nutrition! I struggle with my lats and hamstrings. I have dominate biceps and quads so it takes extra concentration for me to make sure I'm hitting the targeted muscle and not letting my dominate muscles kick in.</span><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size: large;"><b>What's your #1 tip for a beginner?</b></span><br /><br /><span style="font-size: 14px;">-<b>JUST DO IT.</b> Get moving, start eating right, get rid of sh!+ in your diet OR track your MACROs so you can still eat sh!+ but are budgeting it into the grand picture!
